TO SOME IT may sound foolish, but "The Conn-viction Tapes" is one of the biggest accomplishments of my life.
Yes it is just a mixtape, but it embodies who I am as a person and what can be accomplished when local artists unite and work together. Below is a showcase of what was accomplished! With enough support we can put together "The Conn-viction Tapes 2"!
Project Overview: "The Conn-viction Tapes" is a Connecticut
based album entirely produced by SeeS that will feature a different
Connecticut artist in collaboration with SeeS on each track. The album
is presented by CT Corporate Takeover and upon completion will be
streamed online for free and be available for free download on various
sites including SoundCloud and DatPiff. The recording process will be
documented including videos, photos, and promotional tracks leading up
to the release in early 2015.
Artists on The Conn-viction Tapes: SeeS, Gold, Oscar Black, High Priest, Theo
Manchyld, Rassko Lean, Soldier Picasso, Arkatex, General P, Splat860,
Deedz, Chosen, Williano, Big Mach.

JOURNAL INQUIRER
I would like to sincerely thank the Journal Inquirer for taking an interest in this project and writing an amazing article about the artists from East Hartford that were involved in the project. Big Mach, Soldier Picasso, and Splat860 all made significant contributions to the project and it was such an honor for me to be able to get them some publicity for their help with the project! Thanks again to the Journal Inquirer.
HOT 93.7
I owe a major thanks to HOT 93.7 who was the first major supporter of the project. Prior to the project being finished they had posted a few tracks on their blog and website. After the release of the project they focused a Friday Night Spotlight (Below) interview exclusively around the project! DJ G Money also hosted the release party for the project which took place at Beso Lounge in East Hartford!

Twiin Vasquez just dropped a brand new video for his track "Last Day" and the song and video are FIRE! Be sure to check this out and show support! Lyrically on point, Twiin is a CT artist to keep an eye on! Future collaboration in the works, stay tuned! - CT Hip Hop Blog
I support artists who creatively push the envelope and make music that is "out of the box", yet still execute it professionally. Here is a perfect example of that, Zhero is an 18 year old artist from CT and is taking chances that most artists much older are still afraid to take. Congrats on this track! Keep it up! - CT HIP HOP BLOG
(Zhero Bio: Courtesy of Zhero) Zhero is an 18 year old Artist from CT who has recently changed his outlook on music. As a former rapper of strictly “boom-bap” style beats he had decided to grow creatively and become less of a typical “rapper”. He has done this, not only because he has found boredom in that area, but also to seek out those who he can connect with. This creativity was thus turned into an upcoming EP entitled Growing Pains. Growing Pains will push the boundaries of what a “rapper” can be. His content so far has revealed signs of him struggling with depression, loneliness, and anxiety, amongst other stressors. His first single “Wont Die” was named StraightFresh.net’s number 2 track of the week and his rollout over twitter has caught the attention people nationwide (including CT, NYC, TX). Zhero has stuff to say. Stuff that many people would be too scared.

Be sure to come check out this event tonight! I have been to 2 of the 3 before this and regret missing even one. Great performances, great networking, and overall a great place to support and help build the CT music scene. Shout out No Gimmick Music Coalition for making this possible! Hope to see a lot of people I know there tonight, I will be in the building! - CTHIPHOPBLOG
CTHIPHOPBLOG is on a mission to bring exposure to local musicians and share new music with the world from independent and underground artists. A few words from the artist: (Courtesy of Klassix05) I'm a new artist trying to put my music out there and take advantage of all what the internet has to offer. I always willing to support other artist and producers with their material solely on the love for music and the appreciation of what it has done from me in my life.
The track I'm posting up is called “Abe Lincoln” Beat was produced by @GreenAlienProductionz
If there is a rap group in CT that is truly on their grind, there is a good chance it's ARKATEX. Featured on the upcoming "Conn-viction Tapes" this was a group I had to reach out to because they continue to hit every mark of a professional group on the come-up. New releases, Videos, Performances, Collabs, Interviews, these guys are everywhere and I am glad to support CT talent and provide an additional platform to share their success. Here is the interview they just did with "Dalila and Sun", be sure to check it out, very impressive. ALSO CHECK OUT WWW.ARKATEX.NET, and leave a comment below to support this blog!
Gearing up for the release of his NEW mixtape #POORICANS, Connecticut Artist G-SET drops his first single "Run It Back". A smooth, melodic street anthem Featuring Troy Ave. Be sure to check it out and comment below if your feeling it! For more CT Music be sure to subscribe!
Tripsup is one of the most talented artists in CT! He has a great and unique delivery, a very creative writer, and someone who shows consistency in his music and live performance. Also shout out to Mike Rawlings on the video, one of the illest video people in the state. Check out the latest video "Stevie Wonder"!
