21 year old Jack La Cilento also known as "JayDee" is a Hip-Hop artist from Enfield, CT. He was raised on rap due to his father being a battle rapper from NY. He has many influences in his life that have created the artist he is today from: Eminem, Biggie Smalls, Jay-Z, Nas, Outkast, Fabolous, Kendrick Lamar, Drake, J. Cole, 50 Cent, The Game, Lil’ Wayne, Kanye West, Justin Timberlake, Craig David, Usher, Frank Ocean, Chris Brown and many more. He wants to make music that is relatable to almost everyone, storytelling is a big portion of his music and is his outlet in life to get things off his chest whether it's a positive or negative time in his life.

CONN-VICTION TAKEOVER: SPLAT860 "THE CONVICTION"

Splat860 and I collaborated on a track called "The Conviction" for "The Conn-viction Tapes"! Not only did Splat write and perform his vocals but he mixed and engineered the track as well at his own studio, the SplatCave. Splat deserves recognition for being so instrumental to this project. After this track, Oscar Black, Gold, Big Mach, Williano, and Chosen, were also recorded and mixed at the SplatCave! Major Shout Out to NGMC, Splat860, SplatCam and the SplatCave.

No Gimmicks own Splat860 is a business-minded artist, audio engineer and photographer from East Hartford CT. The rapper known as Splat860, the man behind the SplatCam, and the owner and engineer of the SplatCave! This is an artist to look out for and network with if you have the opportunity. Representing No Gimmick Music Coalition he has collaborated with artists from all over the state. If you never heard of Splat860 you have now and chances are it wont be the last time!

CONN-VICTION TAKEOVER: BIG MACH "I WAS COLD"

Big Mach and I collaborated on a track called "I Was Cold" for "The Conn-viction Tapes"! I love this track and how our styles balance each other while both staying on concept. Big Mach takes a clear and personal approach and incorporates the sample to really drive his point across, while I took a metaphorical approach to the same concept through storytelling. It speaks to anyone who came out of adversity and explains the reaction to those who never helped out when "I Was Cold"!

Mach also Known as Fatboy of Fatboy T.v is a CT artist born and raised in Hartford. Mach resides in East Harford and has for the last 15 years. He reps and loves it to the fullest! He's done shows all over CT NY & Mass and is soon to hit Flordia, Cali, and Texas with his full energy appearance.

On that day the featured artist will "Takeover" CTHipHopBlog. Only their music will be featured on the site and we will release their track from the project on the blog!

Oscar Black is one of the more established and well known artists in CT so it was only natural to reach out to him to represent CT on this project! 
We Collaborated on a track called "Stopping Time", the release date will be a surprise,  just be sure to stay tuned through-out March. All tracks will be released on CTHIPHOPBLOG.com!


"Theo ManChyld"

Theo is most likely rapping while you are reading this. Non-stop crafting and perfecting his rhymes. We have collaborated on several tracks in the past, including "United State Of Mind", "GraveShift", and "The Industry". 
It was only right for us to team up for "The Conn-viction Tapes", in fact our track was the first one recorded for the project. "Rise and Shine" will be released March 3rd! Check out the promo video for Theo Manchyld!

 "Soldier Picasso"

I saw him rock the stage a few times and he had the crowd going crazy with "Top Back" and "Lean'in"!
After playing him a few beats he knew exactly which he wanted and shortly after had an ill hook and "Put Your Money Up" was created.  Check out the promo video for Soldier Picasso! Song released March 4th!

"Big Mach"

If you don't know who Big Mach is then you do not know the Hartford/East Hartford music scene very well. One of the livest performers you will see. I don't know anybody with more music videos then Big Mach; and they are all dope. Check out some music videos from Big Mach and Fast Food Family!

The track I did with Big Mach for "The Conn-viction Tapes" is titled "I Was Cold" and will be released March 5th!


"Rassko Lean"

Rassko Lean does everything with precision and artistry; rapping, tattooing, video, and cutting hair. You might know him from Rassko's World on YouTube! He has done several dope collaborations with Theo Manchyld as "Tha Dynamic Duo", including "Political Drugs"!
I teamed up with Rassko for a track called "Making Em Nervous". It will be released March 6th with an official music video as well. Check out the promo video for Rassko Lean! 

"Gold"

Gold is making major moves in CT as an artist and a promoter. Has a record playing on major radio right now "Keep It 100" and has opened up for several celebrities including TI and Joe Budden. Our track "Never Know" is dropping March 9th!

"Splat860"

Splat860 is a business-minded artist, who understands the local music scene. As a rapper, photographer and audio engineer, Splat860 contributed to this project in many ways.
We collaborated on a track called "Conviction"which will be released March 10th! Get familiar by checking out the promo video for splat860!

"Deedz"

Deedz and I collaborated for the first time on "The Conn-viction Tapes"but have a few more songs in the works. Deedz is also about to drop his own mixtape in the next few months!
We collaborated for this project on a track called "Jump Back" which will be released March 11th! Check out the promo video for Deedz!

"Arkatex"

Arkatex are among the most professional and hardest working musicians in CT! Be sure to check out their own website www.arkatex.net!
With talents to match their work ethic this was a group I had to get on the project. I played them a few beats and we had half the song written the first night. 
Our track called "Can't Tell Me" will be released on March 12th! Check out the promo video for Arkatex! 

"Williano"

I saw Williano perform and he handed me a CD which I played in my car. I hit him up afterwards and told him we needed to collaborate for this project. 
We put together a track called "Problem" which is one of the highest energy tracks on the entire project! Be on the look out, the track with Williano will be released on March 13th!

 "High Priest"

If you know me, chances are you know High Priest aka Rock! Long time friend, partner and co-founder of CT Corporate Takeover, Rock has helped me build my independent label and was involved with planning "The Conn-viction Tapes"!
We collaborated on a track called "Light It Up" which will be released on March 16th!

"Chosen"

Chosen is not only an artist featured on the project but the head graphic designer of the project as well. Immediately jumping at the opportunity to design "The Conn-viction Tapes" logo Chosen has earned his spot on the project and has played an instrumental role. 
Our track "Out Of Time" will be released on March 17th. Check out the promo video!

"General P"

General P and I teamed up on a track called "Doesn't Matter" and he was the first artist to shoot a full length music video for "The Conn-viction Tapes"!
Our track will be released March 18th along with the video. Check out the promo video for General P!

Tripsup is one of the most talented artists in CT! He has a great and unique delivery, a very creative writer, and someone who shows consistency in his music and live performance. "The Conn-viction Tapes" Update: July 2014

"The Conn-viction Tapes" continues to blow up as we approach the 2nd month of development. This project is exclusively for CT artists and will be entirely produced by yours truly, SeeS. 

To be clear, there is NO fee to be on the project, but all artists will split the recording costs evenly with me for their respective songs. It's about $50 and in my mind if an artists isn't willing to pay $50 to be on a project that I am allocating near 5K to promote, they don't belong on the project, plain and simple.
