(BIO: Courtesy of Camera Q) Camera Q entered the world of videography in 2013 after gaining popularity photographing events in Connecticut.
Camera Q had been shooting photography at events all over Connecticut since 2009, he was so inspired by the passion he felt shooting photography he begin learning videography. Camera Q began filming everything from club events, concerts events, community events and everything in between.
He describes videography and editing as "a drug he can't put down"
Because of Camera Q's strong love for music it was only natural that he progress into filming music videos. Camera Q has worked with artists such as Phil Blount, Coke Kev, George Yung, Splat 860, and R+C+M.
What separates Camera Q from many other videographers is he keeps his prices reasonable enough so that new artists that don't have a large budget, can afford a quality music video.
Camera Q is also supportive of his community.
In July, he donated his services to People Involved in Motivating Our Students Higher (PIMOSH) to help inner city youth artist build professional art portfolios. Camera Q's goal is to continue filming music videos and continue taking his creativity with film to new levels.
He looks forward to working with artists who share his drive.

Why these artists?
These artists where hand selected for various reasons beyond the obvious, being that they are all amazingly talented Emcees! Beyond their lyricism and creativity all these artists recognize and support other artists, understand the value of networking and are committed to their craft. In the music business its important to have something to bring to the table, every artist on this cypher does that. I create opportunities like this to find the best of the best both on and off the mic. You will be amazed at the level of talent in CT and on this cypher!!
Why a cypher?
Independent artists are often at a disadvantage when competing against commercial mainstream platforms, especially radio. Getting mainstream radio exposure forces artists to create songs that are commercially viable, read the trends and engineer music to appease not only their fans or listeners but labels, PD's, A&R's, and everyone involved in the "business" aspect of the industry. A cypher on the other hand has no intention of reaching radio or other extremely competitive mainstream platforms, instead it maximizes online platforms, such as blogs and social media to gain exposure and go viral. It allows artists to escape the "commercial box" and really display their lyrical ability. It also promotes unity among rappers and a healthy competitive desire to out rhyme artists you respect. These artists all know and respect one another and I hope this motivates everyone to bring their A+ game!
I will be doing an extended post for each of these artists over the next few weeks so be sure to check back and learn more about each of the artists featured on the "Rap And Smoke" cypher. To introduce all the artists I have included their videos below, get familiar, this is history in the making!!
If you don't know by now, FNX is a lyrical monster and building up a notable buzz, especially in the northeast. From destroying cyphers and killing the stage during live performances FNX is an artist to watch out for! FNX has just dropped the visuals for "Hometown Love" be sure to check it out and show some support!
I am a major supporter of anybody doing things to unite artists in the state and this definitely falls into that category. Gotta salute Most Rhymes Delivered, a 15 year old kid that is putting together cyphers and showcasing his talent both behind the mic and as a promoter and bringing together some of the dopest artists in the state including Johnny haze and FNX and more. Check out the video and peep what this kid is doing for the game! - CT HIP HOP BLOG My Name is MRD, Most Rhymes Delivered, I am 15 years old. I recently released the first episode of a project I have been working on called The Cage Cypher, Featuring DJ Wrexx of Hot 93.7. Along with DJ Wrexx, this cypher features myself, Most Rhymes Delivered, Johnny Haze, Tyshon, King Munch, FNX and Kash Mulah. This Cypher is the first of four that are Scheduled to be released between now and the first week of December, with the third and fourth featuring special guest Chris Rivers as the host. At the present moment New Haven and Hartford Cyphers are booked and I am currently organizing the future booking of Waterbury and Bridgeport, with Queens, New York soon to follow. An essential component to The Cage Cypher is to attract and showcase local Hip Hop Artists.
