6 MONTHS SINCE THE CONN-VICTION TAPES..LOOK WHATS HAPPENED!

THE CONN-VICTION TAPES

TO SOME IT may sound foolish, but "The Conn-viction Tapes" is one of the biggest accomplishments of my life.

Yes it is just a mixtape, but it embodies who I am as a person and what can be accomplished when local artists unite and work together. Below is a showcase of what was accomplished! With enough support we can put together "The Conn-viction Tapes 2"!

Project Overview:
"The Conn-viction Tapes" is a Connecticut based album entirely produced by SeeS that will feature a different Connecticut artist in collaboration with SeeS on each track. The album is presented by CT Corporate Takeover and upon completion will be streamed online for free and be available for free download on various sites including SoundCloud and DatPiff. The recording process will be documented including videos, photos, and promotional tracks leading up to the release in early 2015.

Artists on The Conn-viction Tapes:
SeeS, Gold, Oscar Black, High Priest, Theo Manchyld, Rassko Lean, Soldier Picasso, Arkatex, General P, Splat860, Deedz, Chosen, Williano, Big Mach.

 JOURNAL INQUIRER

I would like to sincerely thank the Journal Inquirer for taking an interest in this project and writing an amazing article about the artists from East Hartford that were involved in the project. Big Mach, Soldier Picasso, and Splat860 all made significant contributions to the project and it was such an honor for me to be able to get them some publicity for their help with the project! Thanks again to the Journal Inquirer.

HOT 93.7

I owe a major thanks to HOT 93.7 who was the first major supporter of the project. Prior to the project being finished they had posted a few tracks on their blog and website. After the release of the project they focused a Friday Night Spotlight (Below) interview exclusively around the project! DJ G Money also hosted the release party for the project which took place at Beso Lounge in East Hartford!

Urban Threshold's Underground Music Awards is a national award show that breaks all of the rules of conventionalism. Unlike the Grammy Awards or the Billboard Music Awards, the Underground Music Awards were created to acknowledge and honor the achievements and contributions of unsigned and independent artists within the urban music scene. Every year there are incredible records released by independent labels and artists. Very rarely do the institutional accolades of the music industry reach or embrace independent music or the community of artists and fans who now represent 25% of all global music sales. Hence, the Underground Music Awards Program was born to fill that void.

SeeS has been nominated for MOST PROMISING MALE ARTIST!!! Please cast your vote for me, you can vote once per day at this link!

NEW MUSIC - DREW MARTZ - SUNSHINE

(Courtesy of Just Chicago Group)
Originally from New Haven, Connecticut, Drew Martz is making a name for himself in the city of Chicago. The young hip-hop artist himself has been steady focused on making music since he was fourteen-years-old. Gaining inspiration from iconic figure – Eminem, Drew has worked his way up to create his own sound. Coming from elsewhere other than Chicago, Drew has had to work ten times harder than a Chicago native in order to fire up a fanbase for himself. Including a show out in L.A., he makes little moves here and there hoping to one day soon add up to something grande. All while being an enrolled student of Columbia College Chicago, Drew continues to produce and release his own music. Not yet have gotten to where he wants to be all Drew hopes for in the end is for synonymous recognition.

PALMA - NEW MUSIC - DRESS CODE

(Courtesy of PALMA)
PALMA is 21 year old CONNECTICUT representative who incorporates in-depth lyricism to showcase his unique mental ingenuity. In tandem with the unexploited subject matter riddled throughout the lyrics, PALMA adds the neccessary catchiness needed to have you repeating the lyrics without even realizing.

DRESS CODE is the perfect testament to this.  PALMA takes this opportunity to flex his lyrical stamina with his unique visualizations lyrically. Combined with his unparalleled flow and wordplay, by the end of the record don't be surprised if you catch yourself talking about "all black whips that look Gothic.

SPLAT860 - THE WOLF - BRAND NEW TRACK!!

SPLAT860 PRESENTS HIS LATEST TRACK "THE WOLF", REPRESENTING CT!

SPLAT860 is one of the hardest working artists in CT and truly has a gift in that he writes, records, and engineers his own tracks. His latest track "The Wolf" is an amazing track, the concept is dope and the lyrics are personal. Here is a great example of an artist using hip-hop to express themselves in a creative an honest manner, something that seems more rare as each day goes by. Show Splat860 some love and be sure to check out this track!
