TATTED BARS - THE PILOT EPISODE

TATTED BARS is the latest platform created by CTHipHopBlog.com to provide exposure for CT artists. We wanted to create a proof of concept to see if Connecticut would support a show like this. If you are an artist or producer interested in participating in the show be sure to contact SeeS. This show includes artist interviews, tattoos, freestyles, producers and more. 

 The first pilot episode includes Theo Manchyld, Williano, F. Dot, and Philosophee and of course Ray the Jackhammer and SeeS. Each episode will feature 4 local artists in a panel interview, freestyles, and a different person getting tattooed and what that tattoo means to them.

CT ARTIST: ZHERO - PARADISE

I support artists who creatively push the envelope and make music that is "out of the box", yet still execute it professionally. Here is a perfect example of that, Zhero is an 18 year old artist from CT and is taking chances that most artists much older are still afraid to take. Congrats on this track! Zhero is an 18 year old Artist from CT who has recently changed his outlook on music. As a former rapper of strictly “boom-bap” style beats he had decided to grow creatively and become less of a typical “rapper”. He has done this, not only because he has found boredom in that area, but also to seek out those who he can connect with. This creativity was thus turned into an upcoming EP entitled Growing Pains. Growing Pains will push the boundaries of what a “rapper” can be. His content so far has revealed signs of him struggling with depression, loneliness, and anxiety, amongst other stressors. His first single “Wont Die” was named StraightFresh.net’s number 2 track of the week and his rollout over twitter has caught the attention people nationwide (including CT, NYC, TX). Zhero has stuff to say. Stuff that many people would be too scared.

KENDRICK LAMAR JUST DROPPED THE BEST VIDEO OF 2015 - ALRIGHT

I usually post independent artists and don't spend nearly as much time listening to mainstream artists as I do local artists, but Kendrick Lamar stands out to me and has for the last few years more then most. In my personal opinion he is on top of the game right now hands down, there is nobody I'm more interested in hearing content from. More importantly hearing the breakdown and meaning of that content, something most artists cant' and therefore don't provide. I just watched the video for "Alright" by Kendrick Lamar and my mind is blown, there is no way I can not share this video. Most industry artists do not impress me, and yes I mean most, but Kendrick Lamar is a true artist. I am inspired. - SeeS
