Big G's is a monster on the mic. Every cypher he is clearly raising the "BARS" for every other emcee. I have had the honor of witnessing several instrumentals destroyed with ease by Big G's who's lyrical combative style is both captivating and inspiring. I wanted to showcase several GrindMode Cyphers and songs Big G's has released in recent years to highlight his skill level and devotion to the art form. Over the next week Big G's is taking over CTHipHopBlog and if you are not yet familiar you will quickly learn why Big G's is regarded among the top lyricists in the East Coast. Be on the look out for his latest project MistaSpitSicka and be sure to check out his song with FNX below "Man Of Steel"!
Also be sure to check out this Grind Mode Cypher that Big G's was in, more coming later this week, STAY TUNED!!
CTHipHopBlog would like to S/O Banga Roye and Millionz of Bar$ on their recent collaboration 100 percent. Be sure to check out the video below and share this post! Thanks! - CTHipHopBlog
I gotta S/O Young Steady for putting out, in my opinion, one of the best CT songs this year. This is a song with both commercial and street appeal to it, the visuals are top notch, the beat is crazy, but above all Young Steady does what he does best and brings the bars!!- CTHipHopBlog
THE "RAP AND SMOKE" CYPHER IS PRESENTED BY CT CORPORATE TAKEOVER AND B.S.T RECORDS!
WE HAVE RECORDED THE FOOTAGE AND ARE EDITING NOW!
ARTISTS ON THE "RAP AND SMOKE" CYPHER INCLUDE:
SEES / HIGH PRIEST /FNX / KID KARMA / JOHNNY HAZE
SCARZ / D-22 / TREY TUCK / JYNX / JOSH BLIN
Why these artists?
These artists where hand selected for various reasons beyond the obvious, being that they are all amazingly talented Emcees! Beyond their lyricism and creativity all these artists recognize and support other artists, understand the value of networking and are committed to their craft. In the music business its important to have something to bring to the table, every artist on this cypher does that. I create opportunities like this to find the best of the best both on and off the mic. You will be amazed at the level of talent in CT and on this cypher!!
Why a cypher?
Independent artists are often at a disadvantage when competing against commercial mainstream platforms, especially radio. Getting mainstream radio exposure forces artists to create songs that are commercially viable, read the trends and engineer music to appease not only their fans or listeners but labels, PD's, A&R's, and everyone involved in the "business" aspect of the industry. A cypher on the other hand has no intention of reaching radio or other extremely competitive mainstream platforms, instead it maximizes online platforms, such as blogs and social media to gain exposure and go viral. It allows artists to escape the "commercial box" and really display their lyrical ability. It also promotes unity among rappers and a healthy competitive desire to out rhyme artists you respect. These artists all know and respect one another and I hope this motivates everyone to bring their A+ game!
I will be doing an extended post for each of these artists over the next few weeks so be sure to check back and learn more about each of the artists featured on the "Rap And Smoke" cypher. To introduce all the artists I have included their videos below, get familiar, this is history in the making!!
"Celebrate Til Da End" is a must-hear hip hop banger. This track is well executed and reminds me of a time when hip hop was much better then most the stuff these days. Lyrically on point and the video is dope as well! Check it out! - CTHIPHOPBLOG

General P and I collaborated on a track called "Doesn't Matter" for "The Conn-viction Tapes"! This track is written to those people who do you dirty and then try to make up for it, but no matter what they do, it "Doesn't Matter"! Check out General P on the latest track from the project "Doesn't Matter"!
Bio: General P (Courtesy of General P)
Raheem "General P" Vann-Davidson was born on May 13, 1989. Named Lil' P
at the time, he was an original member and the founder of the music
group Test the Bee. In 2004, P released his first solo mixtape "Why P",
distributing 1,000 copies to friends, family, and his local high school
to gain a small amount of a following. In 2006 T.T.B recorded and
produced their second mixtape "Da Reunion", which quickly got shelved due
to a falling out and a split of the group. Shortly after leaving his
group, P became a dancer under Full Circle's dance team, In Da Mix. In
2008, Swagg Boyz, an affiliate of Full Circle, was introduced to P with
the opportunities for advancement in his rap career and signing to an
independent label. Through his experience and determination, P quickly
rose to the top and earned the ranking of General which is how he
acquired the name General P. In September of 2010, General P Release his
third mixtape "On My General Shit", producing 5,000 copies to once again
bring a lot more fame and more opportunities to further his ambitious
mind set of being the next big icon. Since 2010 General P have released
two parts to his Three series Mix tape, "Taken" & "Taken Vol.II
Melodies". "TAK3N" is set for release 4/14/2015!

From Norwalk, CT, Evans moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in rap music. Immediately standing out with a bilingual, east coast sound and wit-filled rhymes, local Artists and DJ's embraced him with open arms proving the expression 'Cali Love' to be more than a classic record, rather a way of life.
Evans released his debut EP titled Zero Gravity on April 1st, 2014. Singles 'Fuego' and 'Zero Gravity' were accompanied with matching visuals.
"Zero Gravity is proof that I could write about anything. Seven records. All different. That was the goal."
Professional MMA Fighter Nick "Notorious" Newell, with the World Series of Fighting on NBC Sports Network walks out to 'Zero Gravity' before each of his fights.
'Same Difference' a record promoting Hispanic unity was picked up by ESPN and used in a highlight reel for the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
Following up with 'Banderas', Evans was again picked up by ESPN gaining more exposure during Hispanic Heritage Month. 'Same Difference' was also relicensed.
October 10th, 2014 - Evans released NWNM Vol. 1, a free mixtape with 21 tracks. Just over an hour long, Evans remixes and flows over popular industry beats with a story to tell.
"NWNM is my side of the story. I don't think people realize that the news clip in the beginning of that Fuego video is real. Yes, Im really facing 8 felonies. Yes, someone I considered a close friend snitched. Yes, those stories in NWNM are true."
NWNM currently has 5 visuals with more to come.
Evans is currently working on his second project with the Grammy Awarded, Bullets Production Team in Los Angeles and Andy Robinson of Five3 Entertainment in London.
